Senator Vin Gopal will host roundtable discussions throughout May, National Small Business Month, to learn more about the challenges facing local small business owners and engage them in his new initiative, www.ReportRedTape.com.
Small business owners often hit roadblocks when trying to manage and grow their businesses. From confusing municipal ordinances to laws that stifle business, local business owners can easily feel overwhelmed while attempting to break free of the gridlock government too often imposes. Through Report Red Tape, Monmouth County’s business owners are encouraged to speak up and discuss the issues they have faced while starting or managing their businesses.
“Small business owners too often face a web of red tape while negotiating the day-to-day challenges that accompany running a business,” Senator Gopal said. “It is important that small businesses have a voice in their community and government. Through our Report Red Tape initiative, we are empowering small business owners to cut through the red tape. With your feedback, we will work to introduce legislation to reduce the gridlock and support local businesses. Once you submit your concerns, we will investigate ways the State can help, work with State Departments on your behalf, or see if the problem needs a legislative solution.
“As a small business owner myself, I understand the unique challenges people face day in and day out. I am committed to supporting Monmouth County’s mom-and-pops and helping our business owners cut through the red tape.”
